Rotterdam is the second largest city of the Netherlands, and Maasvlakte is a small town under the jurisdiction of Rotterdam. Rotterdam is an important industrial base in the Netherlands, Europe's largest refining base and one of the world's three major refining centers. Now Rotterdam has developed into a trade and commercial centre in Western Europe.
