On May 8, 2020, CGSTL signed 23 sets of GNSS occultation sounding payload carrying and launching service agreement with Tianjin Yunyao Aerospace co., LTD. The founder and CEO of Yunyao Aerospace co., ltd, Li Fenghui, and the general manager of CGSTL, Dai Lu, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides.

According to the agreement, the two sides are required to complete the launching of 23 sets of GNSS occultation sounding payload in the next two years, set up the GNSS occultation sounding constellation quickly, and promote the large-scale application and industrialization of global space meteorological remote sensing data. In addition, the two sides should jointly promote the integrated development of GNSS occultation detection, Marine environment detection, Marine target detection and other high and new technologies.
