On December 11, 2020, the conferring ceremony for the first batch of China's Ambassadors for Dissemination of Aerospace Science was held by the Ministry of Aerospace System jointly with the organizations such as China National Space Administration, Ministry of Education, China Association for Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in order to implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, popularize the scientific knowledge of aerospace, carry forward the spirit and culture of aerospace and make contributions to aerospace science undertakings of China.

 On the ceremony, there were 27 individuals from 9 units including China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited, National Space Science Center, CAS and Beihang University being shortlisted in the first batch of China's Ambassadors for Dissemination of Aerospace Science. Zhang Lei, the chief engineer of satellite models in the company won the title of the first batch of "China's Ambassador for Dissemination of Aerospace Science".
