Jiayuguan city is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of gansu province. It was the important transportation of the ancient "silk road" and the starting point of the western end of the Great Wall of the qin dynasty. Jiayuguan is one of four prefecture-level cities in China that have no municipal jurisdiction.

The expressway from lianyungang to horgos, abbreviated as lianhuo expressway, also known as lianhuo expressway, is 4,395 kilometers long and passes through jiangsu, anhui, henan, shaanxi, gansu, xinjiang and other provinces. Lianhuo expressway is the fourth of the "five vertical and seven horizontal" national trunk line planned by the ministry of transport, and is the longest highway in China.
